Dorothy “Kim Hoa” Jones was born in Vietnam, adopted, and raised in the United States. Aging out of foster care, she was fully independent by 18, an experience that built the grit and determination that still define her today. With a teaching heart, she developed a passion for mentoring others, helping people evaluate career paths, pursue education, and grow their aspirations.

That passion carried into her 27-year career at Verizon, where she became a respected businesswoman and leader. She built strategies, fostered strong relationships, guided teams to grow in skill and confidence, and designed some of the first mobile technology sales training for both retail and B2B representatives.

Today, as the founder of WisdomWealth and a licensed financial planner, Dorothy blends corporate expertise with her personal journey to serve others. She provides personalized strategies and also offers free Financial IQ workshops for groups, teenagers, and young adults. Guided by her belief in “teaching people how to fish,” she meets people at every level of knowledge and need. 

A devoted parent, Dorothy mentors kids in foster care and the fine arts. A true foodie, she loves to cook and travel, often skipping the tourist path to find hidden restaurants, unique shops, and unforgettable people. An avid reader, she admits she’s not always the most popular seatmate on early morning flights.

Her mission is simple: No one should have to do it alone. She meets people where they are, honors their uniqueness, and helps elevate them.
